Where the Light Turns — Signed Photo Print

🌅 Where the Light Turns — Signed Photo Print

For thresholds, changing seasons, and trusting that transformation doesn't have to leave you unchanged to leave you beautiful.

A brilliant sunset.

A prism held against the lens.

The horizon fractured into gold, orange, and red.

And an image hiding inside another image, waiting years to be found.

Where the Light Turns was featured in September's Coven Mail Club—a ritual centred around the Autumn Equinox, finding balance through transition, and learning to move with what is changing.

This photograph began its life as something completely different.

I originally captured it while photographing a wedding, slipping a prism between my lens and a couple standing beneath a brilliant sunset.

Through the glass, the horizon refracted.

Light bent.

Colours bled into one another.

And the evening sky became something stranger and more beautiful than what was actually in front of me.

Years later, I returned to that photograph and found another image hiding inside it.

I cropped away the couple. The wedding disappeared, the original story disappeared with it. What remained was the light itself. Bent, refracted, changed, still beautiful.

Pulled from over fifteen years of my photography archives and signed before it reaches you, this print became the companion piece for a ritual about the turning of the seasons—and the ways we change along with them.

Because transformation doesn't always mean becoming something entirely new.

Sometimes the pieces were already there.

Sometimes all that changes is the way we look at them.

Let it remind you:

The light can bend without losing its beauty.
