This photograph was taken in Rossland, BC during my honeymoon in 2021—the trip where I fell in love with the Kootenays (and yes, my husband too 😌).

There’s something about mountain mist that has always felt grounding to me.
The way it moves slowly through the trees.
The way it obscures, then reveals.
The way it asks you to slow down and feel instead of see.

This image lives in that liminal space.

Where nothing is fully clear.

Where the world feels a little thinner—like something just beyond your understanding is brushing close.

The same feeling as fog in the forest.
